Meditation

Introduction

Meditation is a mental discipline which enables us to use the creative and sensitive centres of our brain without the hindrance of the intellect, which normally controls our attention. It is a tool which has many uses relaxation, self-awareness and spiritual awareness are just three; and, each of these in turn has its own facets and benefits.

There are many forms of meditation breathing, visualisation, chanting etc. and often one form is combined with another but whatever the purpose of my meditation I always begin with a simple breathing meditation to take my attention from the chatter of my thoughts and to relax. .
