A friend wrote this and asked me to publish it for her on my site.  I asked spirit for a picture to go with it also.

I Am Hope

In the last seconds of despair 
When your hand is on the gun 
I am the pause that stills the trigger 
And finds the reason to go on 
I am Hope, I am Light 
I am the Love we all can be

In the never ending darkness 
Of the lonely souls darkest night 
I am the morning star on the horizon 
That tells you dawn is soon to come 
I am Hope, I am Light 
I am the Love we all can be 

In the battered shattered pain 
Of a child abused and left for dead 
I am the purity of soul that gives her strength 
To survive and to forgive 
I am Hope, I am Light 
I am the love we all can be 

In the grief and shocking horror 
Of a war torn battered shore 
I am the tears of human compassion 
That cleanse and heal forever more 
I am Hope, I am Light 
I am the love we all can be 

I am the victim and I am the accused 
I am the joy and I am the pain 
I am the balance, I am the reason 
I am virtue, I am shame 
I am Hope , I am Light 
I am the Love we all can be
